The Passing of a Loved Mother and Grandmother

This photo was taken at Steve's wedding, shortly before Doris passed away. Gran Doris is standing on the right next to her is Steve's other Grandparents, the Grundys.

May 8, 1973, Doris passed away for pneumonia. A few days earlier she had been working in her small garden and that evening began to feel quite bad. Her neighbor called an ambulance and she was admitted to the hospital were she passed away. Doris left behind a remarkable example of determination, hard work and love. At the time of her passing she left behind two sons, Eric and George,one daughter, Grace,and five grandchildren, Steve, Martyn, Paul, Gail Ann and Lynn.
